Publication Ethics Statement

All participants involved in academic journal publishing should adhere to recognized ethical and behavioral guidelines throughout the process of paper writing and publication. The IJCE journal has formulated the following publication ethics guidelines based on the publication ethics standards set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Editors, authors, and reviewers of this journal are expected to adhere to these guidelines to ensure the integrity of the editorial process and uphold the reputation of academic journals.

The responsibilities of reviewers

Reviewers should adhere to the following ethical standards during the peer review process.

1. Reviewers must uphold academic integrity and should not allow interpersonal relationships to compromise academic and ethical standards.

2. Reviewers should adhere to principles of objectivity, fairness, and discretion, and should evaluate the reviewed manuscripts solely on academic grounds, refraining from making No comments or personal attacks on individuals.

3. If reviewers discover viewpoint errors, factual inaccuracies, significant duplication, suspected data fabrication, or any other issues in the manuscript under review, they should promptly provide feedback to the editorial department. If instances of plagiarism or duplicate submission are found, they should also immediately inform the editor.

4. Reviewers should provide suggestions and comments on the accuracy of the content of the manuscript. Review comments should be clear, reasonable, and supported by sufficient evidence.

5. Reviewers should keep confidential the content of the manuscripts they review, as well as information about the authors and related content. They must not use or share the content of the reviewed manuscripts for purposes unrelated to the review process without authorization.

6. If unable to fulfill the review or provide timely feedback, reviewers should promptly inform the editorial department so that the manuscript can be promptly assigned to other reviewers.

The responsibility of the editor

1. Editors should decide whether to accept a manuscript for publication based on relevant review guidelines, procedures, and reviewers' comments. Editors should not be influenced by any personal interests in rejecting or accepting manuscripts.

2. The editorial department should uphold academic integrity and monitor for academic misconduct by all parties involved in the submission of manuscripts.

3. Editors should adhere to confidentiality protocols and refrain from disclosing manuscript information to anyone other than the relevant authors and reviewers.

4. Editors should utilize appropriate software for plagiarism detection, ensuring that each manuscript undergoes an originality assessment before being forwarded to two peer reviewers for blind review.

5. If inaccuracies are found in a published article, editors have a duty to collaborate with the authors promptly to publish a corrigendum.

The responsibility of the authors

1. Authors of original research must objectively discuss the importance and significance of their related work and provide detailed explanations. Supporting data should be accurately presented in the paper, and potential data should also be provided. Sufficient details and references should be included in the article so that others can similarly do the work described in the article. Deceptive behavior or intentionally vague statements are considered academic misconduct and are not acceptable.

2. Authors should ensure the authenticity of their research work, as all forms of plagiarism constitute academic misconduct and must be avoided. If authors borrow from the work or language of others, it should be appropriately acknowledged as a quotation or citation. When using any previously published research content in the manuscript, relevant references should be provided. Additionally, the use of articles or expressions generated by AI in the paper is also prohibited.

3. Authors should not publish substantively similar research findings in more than one journal. Nor should authors submit manuscripts describing the same research to more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals or duplicate publication constitutes academic misconduct and should be avoided.

4. Authors should list in the manuscript all financial support names received for the research work.

5. All signing authors should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, implementation, and interpretation of the research work. Other individuals who have assisted in the research should be acknowledged for their contributions and listed in the acknowledgments. All signing authors should carefully read the final revised manuscript and agree to its submission for publication. The corresponding author should ensure the fairness and appropriateness of the authorship of the paper and be responsible for the signing authors on the final manuscript.

6. If the research work in the paper involves chemicals, processes, or equipment with exceptionally hazardous nature, authors should explicitly indicate it in the manuscript. If the research involves animals or human subjects, authors should state their legality and compliance in the manuscript. In cases involving human subjects, authors should include a statement in the manuscript regarding the subjects' informed consent for the experiment and respect the privacy rights of the subjects.

7. If authors discover errors or inaccuracies in their published articles, they have an obligation to promptly contact the journal editor and work closely with them to retract or correct the paper. If editors learn from a third party that a published paper contains serious errors, authors are obligated to promptly retract or correct the paper, or provide supporting evidence for its correctness.

The responsibility of the publisher

For published articles, if legal infringements, defamation, or other legal issues are discovered, or if academic misconduct is confirmed, the journal will promptly retract the article and issue a notice.

Copyright and authorization

After acceptance of the paper by this journal, authors are required to sign a "Paper Usage Authorization Agreement" with the editorial department, transferring the exclusive copyright usage rights of the paper to this journal. The journal has the right to allow third parties to share the paper in accordance with the Creative Commons license agreement (such as storing it in relevant academic literature databases), and it may also be used for other academic purposes.
